Improving your knife skills will make you a better, safer and more efficient cook. Learning a few simple techniques will help you eat healthier and make cooking at home easier and more fun.

Knives are our most used kitchen tools. To be a good home cook, you need to know the proper way to use them! If you’re going to take one cooking class, this should be it!

In this hands-on class, we will learn how to hold a knife and talk about the basics of kitchen safety and sanitation. We will go over slicing, dicing, mincing and chopping and talk about when you use each skill. Students will take home all of the ingredients they work with in class.

We’ll talk about purchasing good quality ingredients, how to keep your pantry stocked, and other tips to make weeknight dinners a breeze! We will round out the menu with a salad and bread.

Burgers with Nation Kitchen & Bar

We’re so excited about this class! We’ve teamed up with Executive Chef Kayla Robison of Nation Kitchen & Bar to teach you how to make Nation’s famous burger at home. And of course, we will have some tots too!!

Pie Workshop

Just in time for all of that wonderful summer produce, come learn how to bake amazing pies at home.

You’ll get hands-on experience making a pie from start to finish. We will mix the all-butter crust, make the fruit filling, roll out the crust, then shape and bake the pie. You’ll leave with a finished pie to take home with you.

You’ll learn how to:

  • Mix an All-Butter Crust
  • Roll out pie dough
  • Make a fruit filling
  • Fit the dough into the pie plate
  • Crimp the edges and create a decorative design
  • Blind bake a crust
  • Egg wash and garnish to create a beautiful crust
